Christmas in a Shoebox
Weihnachtspäckchen für Kinder in Not
Our school participates every year in the charitable event known “Christmas in a Shoebox" (Weihnachtspäckchen für Kinder in Not). The goal of this campaign is to collect Christmas gifts for children in need, who otherwise would not get any presents at all. The organization Kinderzukunft collects the parcels to be distributed to the beneficiaries.
Kinderzukunft is an established organization in Germany and it supports around 70,000 children in need in countries such as Romania, Bosnia Herzegovina, and the Ukraine. The packages are distributed to orphanages, hospitals, schools, and poor areas. For most of these children, this present might be the only one they receive for Christmas.

On 18 September, the Parents Association arranged its Annual Welcome Coffee, where new parents were invited to get to know to the school better, meet other parents, and to gather information about the school and extra services, as well practical information about the life in Frankfurt and Germany.
Many interested parents attended to the event and we believe everyone enjoyed themselves and left satisfied, though they had to hide their smiles behind their masks this year.

Dear parents,
In the context of the closure of the school in March 2020, and of the rapid organisation of distance learning, the ECB charity EuroHope has played a key role in supporting students and teachers with appropriate IT equipment.
Between mid-April and end-June, more than 230 laptops have been distributed to students and teachers, both from primary and from secondary.

Dear Parents,
We are happy to announce that EuroKids services are planned to resume with the 2020-2021 new school year. The health and safety of the children remains our top priority and we will be introducing additional hygiene measures in light of current circumstances. Parents registered for EuroKids services will be contacted regarding specifics for their children.
Although EuroKids, as a childcare institution, is subject to looser hygiene regulations than schools we will be ensuring that our health and safety practices go over and above the statutory regulations and mirror that of the ESF as much as practicable.
We will be doing our best to ensure services resume as normally as possible for the children and stand prepared to react flexibly to any potential changes to state regulations and ESF guidelines.
Wishing you and your family a healthy start to the school year.
Your EuroKids Team.
