If you have children, you might wonder how you can protect them from some of the darker corners of the online world. Technology, games and apps are changing all the time and children move from site to site. How can you keep up? What’s the best way to tell what’s safe and what’s not? How can you ensure they don’t see something they can never unsee?

Sebastian Tischer, Regional Director at the Information Security Forum, will discuss how children might be vulnerable and advise on how they can safely use the internet. During this session, you will have the opportunity to discuss IT security topics that concern your family life, for example how to protect your kids from cyber stalking, grooming and abuse or viewing inappropriate content. Come with your partner or a friend, take part in our questions and answers and learn through dialogue how to safeguard your online life.

Wednesday 7th December 17.30 – 20.30, ECB, Sonnemannstraße 20, main building cinema room.

If you and/or your partner would like to attend this event, please register yourself and/or your partner, using the info available on the ECB intranet.  Should you require a visitor parking space, please also include your vehicle license plate details in the registration list. Partners of ECB staff or non-ECB parents of ESF primary pupils can send an email to the ECB Staff Info Point (Points@ecb.europa.eu) to be included in the above registration list. (Please note – the ECB has a limited number of reserved parking spaces for business visitors and your registration does not automatically guarantee a parking space).

External visitors are reminded to bring their passport or ID and allow some time for the security check at the ECB’s Visitor Entrance (Main Building, Sonnemannstr. 20). They can then pick up their visitor badge from the Welcome Desk on the right inside the Main Building.
