Current Situation

• Food is often cold because of an issue regarding the kitchen’s infrastructure. The temperature falls too quickly i.e. within 15 minutes to a level which is not ideal. The caterer is aware of the situation and has ordered supplementary heating equipment;

• Water distribution will be improved;

• A second machine for hot chocolate/coffee will be in place soon in the secondary canteen;

• Sauces are considered by the majority of the users as fine though the caterer will keep an eye on it;

• The caterer will try its best to improve service.

Remarks

• Children who have lost or forgotten their card obviously get their food after having re-registered themselves. This concerns mainly P1, P2 and P3. This isn’t a problem although it costs time;

• If the system with the cards is accepted by all parties it will be possible for parents (and teachers) to see on a daily basis if their child has eaten in the canteen and who hasn’t for whatever reason (e.g. playing outdoors).

• If children need/want more to eat, they can ask without any problem for a 2nd or 3rd portion (excluding meat and fish);

• No issue with fruit. If something is missing (e.g. bananas), it is replenished very quickly;

• No issue with the salad buffet.

Outlook

• There will be a Christmas tombola and eight winners will be invited to a candlelit dinner at school;

Opinion

• The caterers are trying to do their best;

• They ask for immediate remark/e-mails if something does not work.
